What is MBA to me ?

As you are already aware, earning an MBA should not be an end in itself but rather one of the critical milestones on your journey to achieve short-term goals and lay the foundation for your long-term aspirations. Here, when I refer to "goals," I'm not only talking about your career; I'm also talking about your life goals. Your long-term objectives should stem from your vision of an ideal life, encompassing happiness, career fulfillment, and overall well-being. It's essential to recognize the gap between where you currently stand and where you ultimately aim to be. Moreover, you should assess whether pursuing an MBA will expedite your progress toward these goals.

Let me share my personal experience as an example. My ultimate goal revolves around having a multitude of options in my life. These options include freedom in terms of mobility, financial security, and time management, along with diverse career opportunities and paths that enable a balanced work-life balance. I came to realize that my lack of confidence stemmed from limited knowledge and exposure in the corporate world I inhabited. At that time, I might not have had a precise understanding of my strengths and passions, but I recognized the urgent need to acquire a comprehensive understanding of business concepts that I could apply universally. This includes such as Finance, Marketing, Statistics, Strategic thinking, and Leadership skills.

For me, pursuing an internationally recognized MBA for two years felt like the ideal choice to gain this knowledge and access to alumni network. Additionally, I had regret from my university days when I didn't immerse myself in intensive study, despite attending at the country's top university. I had always envisioned pursuing a master's degree abroad at some point, and an MBA aligned perfectly with my circumstances.

In psychological terms, this decision was driven by a desire to bridge gaps in my knowledge and gain the confidence needed to forge a fulfilling career. It's a journey of self-discovery and empowerment.

Whether you've firmly decided to pursue an MBA or you're still contemplating this significant step, it's crucial to recognize why an MBA isn't just another academic pursuit. It represents a substantial investment, both in terms of your financial resources and your valuable time.

This decision offers a unique opportunity for reflection amid the chaos of daily life. It encourages you to pause and consider what truly matters to you, both personally and professionally. In the rush of daily responsibilities and career demands, it's easy to lose sight of your broader aspirations and the bigger picture.
